#FrauenStärken continues! •• Now new and completely revised ••

#FrauenStärken powered by WOL® continues and starts a new round in January 2025. 9 exciting weeks of learning journey await you. We'll show you how you can increase your own self-EFFICIENCY and work in a network - together! In this round there is new content and our own WOL #FrauenStärken Circle Guides.

A strong ME for creating impact together!

Our society needs a strong common WE in order to deal with the major challenges of the future. The basis for this is my own self-efficacy, that is, knowing what I can achieve and how to do it. Self-efficacy can be learned and trained - and can be increased through visibility and collaboration with others in networks. How exactly this works and how we can use our own effectiveness to have an even stronger impact together with others is what the 5th round of the program will be about: #WorkingTogether (#GemeinsamWIRken) .

Even if it is called #FrauenStärken - the program is aimed at all people who want to strengthen themselves and others.

Powered by WOL means that the basis of the program is based on the world-famous Working Out Loud (WOL) program - expanded to include our own content.

Our ideas about #FrauenStärken

What we mean by #WorkTogether

We go on this nine-week learning journey with all participants. Each participant brings their own learning goal with them in order to put the content of the 9 weeks directly into practice. How great would it be if this learning goal fits of #WorkTogether

We know from the previous three rounds that really great things can happen just by hundreds of participants getting to know each other, exchanging ideas and networking. And since the focus of the program is on visibility , networking and self-efficacy , we are sure that great projects will be created this time too, which we, if wanted, will make visible, highlight and support.

  • #ONEMILLIONWOMEN is an initiative dedicated to the visibility of women in the world of work. In Germany, almost 50% of the workforce are women, yet they are far less visible in public than men. In the media, more than 80% of experts and influential people are still male. This campaign closes the visibility gap and fights against unconscious biases that are deeply embedded in our minds.

Anyone can name women in their environment - and it's quick: each woman nominates ten other women, who in turn name their top 10. The mission is clear: it's about visibility and representation. Our economy needs visible women!

The community is growing rapidly: in April there were 1,000 nominated women, in May 2,000, in October 5,000 and currently it is approaching 10,000. We see enough women, and we are making them even more visible. #ONEMILLIONWOMEN will change social consciousness:

    • Women have been here for a long time!

    • There are enough women!

    • Women want to have a career!

    Women support women!

“If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.”

—African proverb

We want to provide real added value for society with this learning program, which is why this program, which is actually only used within the company, is publicly available to everyone and is subsidized by more than 50% in price: by the brand owner and inventor of the learning method John Stepper from Working Out Loud, as well as the Connecting Humans team.

This year, 10% of the program's sales will be donated to the Hacker School.

Our world is changing faster than ever, and understanding begins in childhood.
The Hacker School offers children and young people aged 11 and over the chance to learn digital skills and media literacy - with IT courses that are fun and teach you how to use programming languages in a playful way. In addition to technical knowledge, participants acquire important 21st century skills such as teamwork, problem solving and creative thinking.

They are supported by IT professionals who share their enthusiasm for technology on a voluntary basis as inspiration. Once a month there is the GIRLS Hacker School, where girls can discover their creativity on the computer in a protected room.

The Hacker School not only builds bridges between young people and the professional world, but also actively promotes visibility and self-confidence - in the spirit of
#FrauenStärken and #WorkTogether . This creates new horizons for the next generation!

The founder, Dr. Julia Freudenberg, is our role model in week 8.

You can also donate directly if the program is worth more to you!

Questions and Answers

General questions

  • What's new in this round is that the program only lasts 9 weeks and we have developed new circle guides that John Stepper wrote for us. They are even more clearly structured:

    1. Preparation (everyone on their own), duration 1 hour

    2. Agenda, content and tasks for the weekly circle meeting (all together), duration 1 hour

    3. Additional material

The content is now more focused on the topics of visibility, networking and self-efficacy and gives examples of both online and offline networking. Some content can also be found in the regular WOL Circle Guides, but around 60% is new.

Of course, the role models have also been newly selected for you and complement the theory with their exciting practical insights.

  • We will go on a virtual learning journey together for 9 weeks from January 29th to April 16th, 2025. All participants choose their own, personal learning topic for the program, which they will work on over the course of 9 weeks. To do this, everyone is divided into groups of 4 or 5, so-called circles, which meet virtually every week for an hour on a tool of their choice. There is a digital workbook for the meetings. Each week there is a set agenda and tasks that are worked out in advance on your own and then discussed together in the group. Using the content and tasks of the workbook, everyone learns to build a network of experts around their self-selected learning goal, to become more visible and to #WORKTogether with all of us.

The program is led by us via joint online events and accompanied by 9 role models via learning videos so that the theory can be translated quickly and immediately into practice. The small circles serve as a peer support resonance room that supports each other with knowledge, experiences and feedback. Weekly newsletters contain further learning content, communication takes place via our #FrauenStärken LinkedIn community, which now has >3,000 participants, all of whom strengthen and support each other.

  • In a circle (or peer support group) we bring together 4-5 people who are taking part in the program and have indicated similar availability. We try to ensure that one person per group has already taken part in a previous round of #FrauenStärken , so they are already familiar with the process.

Unlike at work, for example, where a group usually consists of colleagues who have similar approaches and similar training and skills - apart from collaboration across several departments - the participants in a circle can come from completely different areas and companies.

Our circles consist of 4-5 participants who go on the 9-week learning journey together as a small group. In weekly, one-hour meetings, we work on tasks together, discuss them, give each other feedback and learn from and with each other. The Las Vegas rule applies: What is discussed here stays within the group. This creates a protective and experimental space in which everyone can get involved and try things out.

  • You will have to work around 2.5 hours per week. You need one hour for the meeting and the tasks in your circle and another hour to prepare the session, deal with the content of the week and another 0.5 hours to continue working on your learning goal. We also offer four live events, which require a total of 6.5 hours to participate in the 9 program weeks. In addition, there will be additional content on specific topics as part of the program, which will be offered through the weekly learning newsletter and other events. It's up to you how much additional time you invest in this - the most important thing is taking part in the weekly circle meetings.

  • At the end of the 9 weeks, strangers have often become friends. You know how to specifically approach external experts and create relationships that create added value for everyone involved. You have become clear about your own visibility and self-efficacy and have been able to increase both with the help of a network. To achieve this, you tried out and implemented many different methods and hacks and learned what suits you.

  • You need one thing above all: time & commitment to take this time. Because every week from the kick-off you meet with your circle for 1 hour, and you need an average of another hour to prepare and 0.5 hours to continue working on your learning goal - over 9 program weeks. In addition, there are four online live events with which we start, accompany and complete the learning journey. If you can't be there once, that's not a big deal, because the content can be worked on beforehand and afterward. But if you already know that you won't be available for 3 weeks, then it's better not to register for this round.
It is important that you stick with it if you decide to participate - otherwise your circle will be missing an important perspective and knowledge holder, which would be a shame. Therefore, your commitment to participate is important.
You decide together when your circle meets. You also decide which tool you work with, e.g. Zoom, MS Teams, Facetime, What's App and much more. This means you can take part even without much technical equipment or knowledge.

    • Registration is possible until January 13, 2025.

    • Prices: 149 EUR for full-paying people who are doing well financially. 69 EUR for partial payers who need financial support. Honesty rocks!

    All planned live online events:

    • 01/29/25 - 6-8 p.m.: KickOff event

    • 02/19/25 - 6-7:30 p.m.: Pit-Stop Event 1

  • Write us an email to wol@connecting-humans.de or post in our private LinkedIn community for all participants, which will be available from the start of the program.

  • We try to make the circles as diverse as possible with 4 to 5 participants. However, our highest priority is to ensure that appointments for the 1-hour weekly appointments work. Therefore, our focus is on similar participation preferences across days of the week and times. We also try to take into account that one participant always has relevant previous experience, i.e. has already taken part in a circle.

  • This is of course a shame, because not only do you miss out on the exchange in the group and have to develop the content yourself, but the group also has to do without your input. Please just take responsibility for it and try to prepare or rework in the event of non-participation. Communicate openly and try to find appointments where everyone can be there. From the kick-off event until the final event you have 11 weeks for 9 meetings, that should be manageable.

  • If you speak German well and can arrange the time, then of course you're very welcome. Please note that all times given are based on German time CET. The joint events all take place at 6:00 p.m. CET, the circles coordinate their weekly meetings together. When registering, please remember to specify your time zone or only register for the time slots possible in Germany.

Questions about costs, registration and cancellation

  • 149 EUR plus VAT for full-paying people who are doing well financially.
69 EUR plus VAT for partial payers who need financial support.

    Honesty rocks!

Of course, we don't control how you are doing financially. Please remember that the entire program with all content is subsidized by >50% and you have access to content for 9 weeks of learning, in addition to lots of events and input from great role models. As a full-paying person, you enable someone else to attend at a reduced rate, which helps them and us a lot - and certainly also helps your karma account!

  • Various: You can pay via PayPal, credit card, Apple or Google Pay, instant transfer or SEPA direct debit. In any case, the ticket system will issue you an invoice if you are a private payer.

For corporate customers, we will be happy to send a separate invoice directly to your accounting department, but then with an additional service fee of EUR 30 for the entire processing by our accounting department.

  • Unfortunately, due to the high logistical effort, payment in installments is not possible. If you can't afford the price of the program but really want to take part, write to us and we'll definitely find a solution together.

  • You should discuss the topic directly with your supervisor. We keep our fingers crossed!

  • You can cancel up to 14 days before the program registration deadline. We then form the circles and start communication so that deregistration and reimbursement of the program fees are no longer possible due to the effort involved.

  • See previous question about free cancellation.

    • After registering, you will be individually assigned to a circle of 4-5 participants. Here the focus is on participant preferences such as day of the week and time for possible participation in the weekly meetings.

    • In the opening event you will get to know each other and can start straight away with the intuitive learning units.

    • Everyone works on their own learning topic, which is defined at the beginning in the form of a learning goal.

    • You will meet for one hour a week for 9 weeks to reflect on your work on your goals, your progress and your challenges.

    • Every week you can expect a role model video that puts the week's content into practice.

    • Afterwards you have time for the weekly tasks and the preparation of the weekly circle meeting, where you primarily exchange ideas.

    • In addition to the weekly meetings, you should allow around 1 hour for preparation and 0.5 hours for further work on your goal.

    • The weekly meeting is always structured the same way: a short check-in is followed by 1-3 tasks to be done alone or in a group. The conclusion is then a short check-out.

    • During the 9 weeks you will also have the opportunity to network with all participants in a variety of ways. There is also a closed and exclusive LinkedIn group moderated by us where everyone supports and exchanges ideas.

Content questions

    • 9 weekly peer coaching sessions with an individually tailored circle of 4 or 5

    • 9 learning videos around the respective weekly topic with our role models

    • Focus on your personal goal, which you work on continuously

    • 4 online live events with the organization team, the final event is also hybrid, i.e. live in Hamburg at New Work SE and parallel virtual

    • 1 virtual bar camp for topics related to #GemeinsamWIRken

    • Digital workbook as a basis for weekly circle meetings

    • Weekly learning newsletter with additional learning content to find out more

    • Comprehensive networking and exchange in a closed LinkedIn group with >3,000 participants who support and strengthen each other

  • You learn most effectively when you bring your topics into the learning journey. What concerns you about the topics of networking, visibility, self-efficacy? What do you want to learn? Improve what? Practice what? You work alone and in your circle on your topic in order to use the program as sustainably as possible and to apply it directly in practice. And the topics mentioned above can only be learned by doing, i.e. trying things out, experimenting, reflecting and applying them again and again in small steps. The chosen goal forms the core topic for which a network is built and expanded and for which you become visible and increase your self-efficacy.

  • Don't worry, at the start of the program and in the first week you have plenty of time to be inspired by us and the other participants and to formulate your own learning goal.

Questions about the program's target group

  • Women, men and non-binary people who are interested in the course content are warmly invited to take part. The focus is on the topics of visibility, networking and self-efficacy, and we also want to #WORkTogether with all participants.

Be there if this appeals to you!

  • Sure, if the topics suit you and you don't want to use our program to market or sell yourself and your product/service. This is a learning program and the focus is on learning together, exchanging ideas, sharing knowledge and experiences.

  • You can also carry out the program in-house and buy it completely. If you would like to participate with us and purchase several places through the company, please contact us by email at wol@connecing-humans.de and we will send you further details about the ordering process.

  • No. Our program is called #FrauenStärkenbecause it was originally about strengthening women among each other and strengthening skills that are more commonly read as feminine, such as empathy, compassion, cooperation and understanding of diversity. But we and the program are constantly developing! We are therefore very much looking forward to male and non-binary participants, because the more diverse the groups, the more we can learn from and with each other.
