JOINT GENERATIONS – A strong WE across all age groups
Our world needs new forms of collaboration – across generations, experiences, and perspectives. In the new round of #FrauenStärken powered by WOL 2026, we are dedicated to precisely this idea: Younger people learn from and with older people. Older people learn from and with younger people. Together, we all grow.
Because whether you're 25, 73, or anything in between – we all have something to give and something to learn. The foundation for this remains self-efficacy: the knowledge and confidence in our own power to shape and change things. Self-efficacy arises from visibility, relationships, and collaborative learning within a network.
In the 6th round of the program, we experience how powerful intergenerational learning can be – when we engage with each other, learn from each other and work together.
Even though the program is called #FrauenStärken – it is aimed at all people who want to strengthen themselves and others, build bridges and explore new ways of working together.
And Joint Generations means that all age groups are welcome, although we recommend participation only from the mid-20s onwards due to the content of the program.
Powered by WOL means: The foundation is the globally proven Working Out Loud program – expanded with our own content, experiences and impulses for a strong, intergenerational WE.

Our idea about #FrauenStärken
What we mean by #Joint Generations
Together with all participants, we'll embark on this nine-week learning journey. Each participant brings their own learning goal to directly apply the content of the nine weeks in practice. How great would it be if this learning goal aligns with the overarching theme of #JointGenerations ? And is specifically aimed at both those under 30 and those over 60?
From the previous five rounds, we know that simply by having hundreds of participants get to know each other, exchange ideas, and network, truly great things can emerge. And since the program focuses on visibility , networking , and self-efficacy , we are confident that fantastic projects will be developed again this time, which we will, if desired, make visible, highlight, and support.
Irène Kilubi and Gerda-Marie Adenau:
Our Role Models for the topic of #JointGenerations in 2026
For special inspiration, we are joined in this round by two role models who perfectly embody what we mean by #JointGenerations: Dr. Irène Kilubi is a PhD-holding entrepreneur, multiple advisory board member, and university lecturer. After positions at companies including BMW, Deloitte, and Siemens, she now works on joint generations, corporate influencers, and community building, and has received numerous awards for her work—including being named one of Germany's Top 25 Future Makers. Gerda-Marie Adenau, a story coach and philosophical practitioner, contributes her many years of corporate experience, her expertise on careers in later life and age diversity, as well as her unique perspective on meaning, values, and personal development. Together, Irène and Gerda-Marie demonstrate the power of different generations mutually supporting each other and writing new chapters together.

With her "Career in Later Life" program, she empowers people over 50 who want to reinvent themselves and supports companies in consciously shaping age diversity and generational management. In her work, she creates spaces where stories, experiences, and future plans are explored together—a true example of the power of different life stages listening to one another, learning from each other, and shaping the future together.

Yvonne Weiß has been a journalist for 25 years. She has held various management positions at newspapers, magazines, and television, including Deputy Editor-in-Chief at BILD. At the FUNKE Media Group, she now heads the Cultural Affairs department, which is responsible, among other things, for ensuring good working conditions for the more than 5,000 employees. She graduated from high school in 1994, then studied communication sciences, completed a traineeship, and during her career as chief reporter at the Hamburger Abendblatt and later as editor-in-chief, she also completed training as an ICF coach and a postgraduate degree in Diversity Management while working.
Yvonne knows how crucial corporate culture is for the success of change processes and how challenging it can be to be one of the few female CEOs in a male-dominated industry. For this mother of two, female empowerment and the pursuit of work-life balance not only contribute to societal improvements, but also, quite selfishly, to her own daily work life. Those in positions of responsibility must speak up and advocate for those who are less vocal, Yvonne believes. She enjoys playing tennis, and her motto is: "Don't fight back. Fight forward."

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.”
—African proverb
We want to add real value to society with this learning program, which is why this program, which is actually only used internally within the company, is publicly accessible to everyone and subsidized by 50%: by the brand owner and inventor of the learning method, John Stepper from Working Out Loud, as well as by the Connecting Humans team.
Over €4,000 was donated to the Hacker School in the last round.
Our world is changing faster than ever, and understanding this begins in childhood.
The Hacker School offers children and teenagers aged 11 and up the opportunity to learn digital skills and media literacy – with fun IT courses that playfully introduce programming languages. In addition to technical knowledge, participants acquire important 21st-century skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
They are supported by IT professionals who volunteer as "inspires," sharing their enthusiasm for technology. Once a month, there's the GIRLS Hacker School, where girls can discover their creativity on the computer in a safe environment.
The Hacker School not only builds bridges between young people and the professional world, but also actively promotes visibility and self-confidence – fully in line with
#FrauenStärken and #WorkingTogether . This opens up new horizons for the next generation!
This year, we will again donate 10% of ticket sales to the Hacker School.
donate directly here if you value the program more!
questions and answers
General questions
-
New since 2025 is that the program now only lasts 9 weeks and we have developed new Circle Guides, written for us by John Stepper. They are even more clearly structured:
Preparation (each person on their own), duration 1 hour
Agenda, content and tasks for the weekly Circle Meeting (all together), duration 1 hour
Additional material
The content now focuses more on visibility, networking, and self-efficacy, providing examples of both online and offline networking. Some content is also taken from the regular WOL Circle Guides, but approximately 60% is entirely new.
Of course, the role models have also been newly selected for you and complement the theory with their exciting practical insights.
-
We'll embark on a virtual learning journey together for nine weeks, from January 29th to April 16th, 2025. All participants will choose their own personal learning topic to explore over the nine weeks. They will be divided into groups of four or five, called Circles, which will meet virtually for one hour each week using a platform of their choice. A digital workbook will be provided for these meetings. Each week, it will contain a set agenda and tasks that participants will work on individually beforehand and then discuss together as a group. Using the workbook's content and tasks, everyone will learn to build a network of experts related to their chosen learning goal, increase their visibility, and #TogetherWE.
The program is guided by us through joint online events and supported by nine role models via learning videos, ensuring that theory can be quickly and immediately translated into practice. Small circles serve as a peer-support forum where participants share knowledge, experiences, and feedback. Weekly newsletters contain further learning content, and communication takes place through our #FrauenStärken LinkedIn community, which now has over 3,000 members who all empower and support each other.
-
In a Circle (or peer support group), we bring together 4-5 people who are participating in the program and have indicated similar availability. We try to ensure that at least one person per group has already participated in a previous #FrauenStärken round and is therefore already somewhat familiar with the process.
Unlike in a professional setting, where a group usually consists of colleagues who bring similar approaches and have similar training and skills – apart from collaboration across several departments – the participants in a Circle can come from completely different fields and companies.
Our Circles consist of 4-5 participants who embark on a 9-week learning journey together as a small group. In weekly, 1-hour meetings, participants work on tasks together, discuss topics, give each other feedback, and learn from and with one another. The Las Vegas rule applies: what is discussed here stays within the group. This creates a safe and experimental space where everyone can contribute and try things out.
-
You can expect to dedicate approximately 2.5 hours per week to the program. This includes one hour for the Circle meeting and tasks, another hour for session preparation and reviewing the week's content, and a further half hour for continued work on your learning goal. We also offer four live events, which require a total of 6.5 hours of participation over the nine program weeks. In addition, the program will provide further content on specific topics, offered through the weekly learning newsletter and other events. How much extra time you invest is up to you – the most important thing is attending the weekly Circle meetings.
-
By the end of the nine weeks, strangers had often become friends. You know how to specifically approach unfamiliar experts and cultivate relationships that create added value for everyone involved. You've gained clarity about your own visibility and self-efficacy and have been able to increase both with the help of a network. To achieve this, you tried and implemented many different methods and hacks, learning what works best for you.
-
Above all, you need one thing: time and the commitment to dedicate that time. Each week, starting with the kick-off, you'll meet with your Circle for one hour. Preparation will require an average of another hour, plus half an hour for further work on your learning goal – all over nine program weeks. In addition, there are four online live events with us, which we'll use to start, support, and conclude your learning journey. If you can't attend one or two events, that's not a problem, as the content can be reviewed and updated. However, if you already know you'll be unavailable for three weeks, it's best not to register for this round.
It's crucial that you stick with it once you decide to participate – otherwise, your Circle will be missing an important perspective and knowledge holder, which would be a real shame. Therefore, your commitment to participation is essential.
You and your Circle will decide together when your Circle meets. You decide which tool you use, e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, FaceTime, WhatsApp, etc. This means you can participate even without extensive technical equipment or knowledge. -

We strive to make our Circles, with 4 to 5 participants, as diverse as possible. However, our highest priority is ensuring that scheduling the 1-hour weekly meetings works smoothly. Therefore, we focus on participants with similar preferences regarding the day of the week and time. We also try to ensure that at least one participant has prior experience, meaning they have attended a Circle before.
-
That's a shame, of course, because not only will you miss out on the group discussions and have to work through the material on your own, but the group will also miss out on your input. Please take responsibility for this and try to catch up on the material before or after your absence. Communicate openly and try to find dates that everyone can attend. From the kick-off event to the closing event, you have 11 weeks for 9 meetings; that should be manageable.
-
If you speak German well and can make it work, then of course you're very welcome. Please note that all times listed are in German Central European Time (CET). All group events take place at 6:00 PM CET, and the Circles coordinate their weekly meetings. When registering, please remember to specify your time zone or only register for time slots that work with Germany.

€198 including 19% VAT for those paying in full who are financially secure.
€99 including 19% VAT for those paying in part who are currently experiencing financial difficulties. If nothing else works right now, get in touch – we'll find a solution together.
From 2026 onwards, we will finally display the final prices including 19% VAT – this is clearer, more transparent, and eliminates surprises at checkout. At the same time, we are moderately adjusting our prices to ensure that FrauenStärken remains stable and accessible. €198 for 9 weeks of programming, community events, materials, inspiring role models, and everything else we have to offer remains a very good deal – and, quite frankly:
We rely on this to cover our actual program costs (planning & organization, platforms/tools, materials, and community formats) and to continue offering the program to you. 10% of the ticket proceeds to the Hacker School .
Your choice matters: With every standard ticket purchased, you ensure FrauenStärken and, at the same time, help fund solidarity tickets for participants who otherwise couldn't afford to attend. Tickets purchased at the solidarity price also grant full access – no explanation required.
-
Various payment options: You can pay via PayPal, credit card, Apple or Google Pay, instant bank transfer, or SEPA direct debit. In any case, the ticketing system will issue you an invoice if you are a private individual paying.
For corporate clients, we are happy to send a separate invoice directly to your accounting department, however, this will incur an additional service fee of 30 EUR for the entire processing by our accounting department.
-
Due to the high logistical costs, payment in installments is unfortunately not possible. If you cannot afford the price of the program but are determined to participate, please contact us and we will certainly find a solution together.
-
You should discuss this directly with your supervisor. We're keeping our fingers crossed!
-
You can cancel up to 14 days before the program's registration deadline. After that, we form the Circles and begin communication, so cancellation and a refund of the program fees are no longer possible due to the administrative effort involved.
-
See previous question regarding free cancellation.
-
After registering, you will be individually assigned to a circle of 4-5 participants. The focus here is on participant preferences such as day of the week and time for possible participation in the weekly meetings.
At the kick-off event, you'll get to know each other and can start right away with the intuitive learning units.
Everyone works on their own learning topic, which is defined at the beginning in the form of a learning objective.
You will meet for one hour per week for 9 weeks to reflect on your work towards your goals, your progress and your challenges.
Each week you can expect a role model video that puts the week's content into practice.
After that, you will have time for the weekly tasks and the preparation of the weekly Circle meeting, where you primarily exchange ideas.
In addition to the weekly meetings, you should allow approximately 1 hour for preparation and 0.5 hours for further work on your goal.
The weekly meeting always follows the same structure: a brief check-in is followed by 1-3 tasks to be completed individually or in a group. The meeting concludes with another brief check-out.
During the 9 weeks, you'll also have the opportunity to connect with all participants in a variety of ways within the network. This includes a moderated, closed, and exclusive LinkedIn group where everyone can support and exchange ideas.

You learn most effectively when you bring your own topics into the learning journey. What interests you about networking, visibility, and self-efficacy? What do you want to learn? What do you want to improve? What do you want to practice? You work on your topic individually and within your circle to make the most of the program and apply it directly in practice. And the topics mentioned above are only learned through doing – trying things out, experimenting, reflecting, and applying them again and again in small steps. The chosen goal forms the core theme around which a network is built and expanded, and around which you become visible and increase your self-efficacy.
-
Don't worry, at the start of the program and in the first week you will have plenty of time to be inspired by us and the other participants and to formulate your own learning goal.
Questions about the target group of the program
-
Women, men, and non-binary people interested in the course content are warmly invited to participate. The focus will be on visibility, networking, and self-efficacy, and we also want to #GemeinsamWIRken (TogetherWE) with all participants.
Join us if this appeals to you! -
Sure, if the topics are relevant to you and you don't want to use our program to market or sell yourself or your product/service. This is a learning program, and the focus is on learning together, exchanging ideas, and sharing knowledge and experiences.
-
You can also run the program in-house and purchase it as a complete package. If you would like to participate with us and purchase multiple places through your company, please contact us by email at wol@connecing-humans.de and we will send you further details about the ordering process.
-
No. Our program is called #FrauenStärkenbecause it originally focused on empowering women among themselves and strengthening skills often perceived as feminine, such as empathy, compassion, cooperation, and understanding diversity. But we and the program are constantly evolving! We therefore very much welcome male and non-binary participants, because the more diverse the groups, the more we can learn from and with each other.
