WOL® and Social Fitness

How it all began – and why WOL® is now an integral part of our Connecting Humans portfolio

In May 2015, I John Stepper – and with him the Working Out Loud Circle method. What started as a personal inspiration quickly became one of the largest grassroots movements in companies. Even today, Bosch colleagues write to me about how much WOL® has changed their work and the projects that have resulted from it.

From 2017 to 2019, I was able to further develop WOL® full-time: “WOL for Teams” was created, and later – during the pandemic – the program #WomenStrengthen powered by WOL ® with over 6,000 participants to date.

Ten years later, it's clearer than ever: Working Out Loud® trains social fitness. This is precisely what we focus on at Connecting Humans . Because what makes WOL® so effective isn't just the structure—it's the protected resonance space in which people experience connection, empower each other, and grow together. In short...

WOL® is active social fitness training.

And we're continuously developing it further. Introducing WOL® into a company used to be complex. Today, thanks to AI-supported processes and clear services, it's much easier:

  • Circle Staffing – fully automated with our own tool

  • Internal communication – we deliver the content

  • Adaptable Circle Guides – tailored to goals, strategy, culture and tools

  • Miro boards – for clearly structured collaboration during the 8–12 program weeks

  • Cost-flexible models – suitable for company size, industry and form

  • Optionally accompanied or self-organized

  • Moderated WOL® communities that connect learners

Our six current WOL® programs are more flexible than ever!

  • WOL® Circles: Peer learning, networking, and self-organization for all employees. Ideal for getting started with the WOL method.

  • WOL® for Teams Strengthen collaboration, share knowledge, build trust – for existing teams that want to grow together.

  • WOL® Shopfloor for production and commercial areas – adapted to everyday work without screens and desks and with a focus on job crafting.

  • WOL® Resilience Promoting psychological safety and inner strength – for employees who want to consciously deal with stress and change.

  • #WomenStrengthen powered by WOL® Networking, visibility and empowerment for women – to specifically promote female leadership and careers.

  • WOL® for Leaders (NEW, website coming soon)

This makes them a perfect fit for organizations that want to develop self-organization, a culture of learning, and genuine connection.
