Why is the Brave Dialogue Process needed?©?

Leadership in times of change requires more than clear directives. It requires psychological safety. And genuine, effective conversations.

Many teams know that feedback is important. Nevertheless, it is often avoided or remains superficial. Why? Because the necessary groundwork is lacking: clarity about one's own values, feelings, and needs. And because psychological safety is lacking – the feeling of being able to address tensions without fear of negative consequences.

According to Google's Project Aristotle (2012–2014, 180 teams), psychological safety is the most important success factor for high-performance teams . However, it is lacking in most companies – with costly consequences.

Why conflict prevention pays off:

Unresolved conflicts cost German companies billions. The KPMG Conflict Cost Study (2009) proves this:

  • 10–20 % Personnel costs are lost due to conflicts

  • 50% of companies lose at least €50,000 per year.

  • 10% of companies even lose over €500,000 per year.

  • At least 25% of these costs can be saved by addressing stresses early on.

This is precisely where the Brave Dialog Process© comes in:

We create a space where tensions are addressed directlybefore they escalate into conflicts. The result: trust grows, tensions dissipate, conflicts don't arise in the first place – and if they do, they are resolved constructively.

The Brave Dialog Process© was developed by Christiane Windhausen – with the aim of enabling managers, teams and organizations to have a sustainable dialogue culture and psychological safety .

91% of employees in Germany do not feel emotionally connected to their company (Gallup Engagement Index Germany 2025)
